Time is So Scarce
There was a song of Rolling Stones that goes by "Time is on my side, yes it is...". Well, that's sooo incorrect in tennis. In a typical match or even in an open session, it's really hard to fully prepare for a quality shot, be it a ground-stroke or dropshot or serve. During the drills, hitting the ball may come easy since everything is like slow-motion and we are The Flash. But as soon as the feeder goes into the other side of the net, then the real story begins. :) It gets hard to unit turn, back-swing, following the ball and having the best contact point with the follow-through. And I mean really hard. İlhan is getting pretty good at his serves and forehands, so that I have to act more quickly to get prepared for a medium quality shot. Those sometimes end up with only sending the ball to the other side of the net... Pfff. But then again as long as I catch it, I can still control the contact point and the follow through.
