Tennis As a Wayout

Now I don't use the "wayout" in its first meaning, which is unconventional. I could have, however, this is a 400 years old sport so I really shouldn't. I use the word for its second meaning; an exit.

I'd tried a few sports in the past such as football/soccer, badminton, basketball, table tennis etc. and all as amateur. They are all great sports just like tennis and I'd enjoyed them all.

Obviously, some of them are collective and some are not. Football, basketball have helped me to integrate well as a teammate and badminton, table tennis have helped me to increase my self-esteem.

But, at this age, I see tennis as an exit strategy from all the real and virtual struggles of my life. Not only this. Working without proper body movement is an endless routine to most of our health problems. I've suffered from these specific side effects all my life and that definitely should not continue.

I see any kind of sports involvement as a positive change of life style. They provide all the needed chemicals to be happier and peaceful. I don't have to and frankly don't have the motivation to be a competitive sportsman, but surely that doesn't matter.

I have to move, just move...
