Integration Tests Applied on my Service Training
There are various kinds of tests in the field of Software Development; Unit tests, Integration tests, Regression tests, Functional tests, Security tests, etc. "So what?" you may ask... Now today I was training for my serves at the court. Then I remembered one of my postings. There, as a ToDo, I wrote "I've to move quickly to the outside of the base-line as soon as I took the serve". Interestingly enough, when I try the serves, today, I realized that I took a shot, however, I don't practice the after-action or in other words post-mortem.
I hit a serve but stay there analyzing the ball trajectory and all. This is fine for most of the exercise duration, however, to integrate that into my real play I have to do more. That is after taking the shot I started to think that there will be an imaginary return and move back to the back of the baseline... Here's Thiem's position and his effort to go back against Raonic (look at his right foot). This effort gets tougher as the speed of the serve increases :))
