Main Serve Movements Dissected
Mostly the good parts. Here are my three consecutive main serve movements; the toss and the trophy position, the liftoff and the ball contact. I didn't take the follow through but so what... It's not that good :) Far from great, but I like it. First of all I, I use the pinpoint stance. No harm. The ball's maximum height is two 'me's. Interesting. The left hand and the eyes follow the ball. Good. Chest points to the side way. Great. Legs are somewhat bent. That's ok. The trophy position. Check. No foot fault. Excellent. Second, left arm pushing downwards. Good force. Eyes still on the ball. Splendid. The racquet comes upwards vertically, no waiter position. Impeccable. Legs moving forward and upward to meet the ball. Third, racquet is pronated. Ok. Hit with the top part of the strings. That's ok, too, no kick serve. The meet point is either at the same vertical positioning with my head or even in front. Not good. The legs are air borne. Not necessary. Th
